Are you nervous about feeding your baby solids for the first time? Don’t be! It’s fun to make a mess and that’s just what is going to happen. Still feeling nervous? Well, you’ve come to the right place for inspiration. Here at Baby Bullet Blog, we can help you find any recipe that coincides with the age of your baby – to prepare both mommy and baby for their journey with first foods.

This recipe is a perfect, simple, and easy puree to start with. Bananas are a great first food to first introduce to your 4-month-old. How did I know when my baby was ready? My daughter was grasping pretty well, started paying attention to the adults eating, was very curious about what we were eating, and would reach out for our food while we were eating.

Bananas are great to introduce around the 4-6 month mark. They contain potassium and fiber, are high in vitamin B6, C and B2. They can even help with digestion. So, if you notice your baby having an upset tummy, bananas may help with the issue.

As always, I still recommend you consult with your pediatrician before starting first foods. Rule of thumb though, when feeding any new first foods to your baby, make sure you test one type of food on your baby for 3 days straight. If you do not see any signs of allergies or rashes around the mouth or hands on the third day, then you know your baby is clear of an allergy to that food.
